I really love watching Phantom of the Opera. It is a tragic love for the phantom who has an obsession for the leading lady. His possessive and jealous love is understandable because of his deformed face his insecurity. For some reason or another, I associate this musical piece with Shakespeares work like Romeo and Juliet, Othello, among others. For me it has a tragic ending. Sometimes I daydream about the film starring Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum, jennifer ellison, among others. What if Raoul got defeated by the phantom? What would be the outcome of the movie? What if the phantom is handsome? Would Christine fall for the phantom? Such questions keep playing on my head, and I debate with myself what would really happen. With this type of film, I would have difficulty pinpointing who is the good guy or the bad guy. I weigh in the historical backgrounds of the main contender. Sometimes I consider the antagonist phantom to be a protagonist as well. He has this battle against the world that made him that way.
